ArtSi publicity photos

Yes, yes. this ArtSi show is the biggest art thing I've got going on right now, hence the multiple posts.

Earlier this summer, I met photographer Bob Allen to have some publicity photos taken for the show's promotional materials. Did you know photographers rarely have good photos of themselves? We're always behind the camera except for iPhone selfies and even those are few and far between. Also? Rarely good. Anyway, Bob clicked, clicked, clicked away and was generous enough to give me the files. Out of all of the pictures, I enjoyed these the best. It's a GREAT angle and my best feature is highlighted. :::bats eyelashes::: I'm happy to provide picture evidence to anyone who disputes that this is decidedly NOT how I look in everyday life. But, hey, I clean up nice, so there's that.

Thanks to Bob for the great pics & the ego trip -- during the shoot, he introduced me to everyone we met as THE featured artist of this year's show and talked up my art & photography. Come to think of it, maybe I should hire him as my agent! :)

Featured Artist

Remember back in April when I updated my bio for an "exciting upcoming project?" This is it. I feel honored, excited, nervous and even a little unworthy but mostly honored and excited. This is cool.

My photography in The Dallas Morning News

Check out this article about local Lake Highlands artist, Lisa Johnson. I had the pleasure of photographing many of her wonderful pieces earlier this year and was thrilled to hear that The Dallas Morning News wanted to use my pictures in her story. Yay for us both!

weekly summer print sale: week 4 "pink pail"

A little more abstract, a "pink pail" is just what every summer lover needs. I, personally, still love playing in the sand at the beach. Must be the island girl in me!

Sale Details: For this week only, buy this print and receive one free to share with a friend. Each of my prints come in a handmade sewn decorative paper sleeve. Clicking on this image will direct you to my etsy shop where you can purchase this and other art.
