32/86 just what I needed

Even though the Arboretum is my "happy place" and has been for nearly 7 years now (it was my escape after Anna Sofia was born, remember?), I wasn't thinking about that when I suggested we pay a visit yesterday. It was overcast out and not a bazillion degrees, les petites could don their swimsuits and cool off in the fountains and it was a change of scenery from going to the pool every.single.day. Turns out, it was just what I needed. We picnicked, enjoyed the beautiful Chihuly exhibit, the charming little artists playhouses (Picasso, Seurat, Monet, O'Keefe), saw bunnies & squirrels, fed the koi fish and just had a totally chill time in general. It was great and I feel happy and renewed. Nature and a little isolation will do it to you every time!
