I'm a loud, cranky sneezer
Monday, May 12, 2008 at 10:26AM Did everyone have a nice Mother's Day? I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day. I had a very nice, laid back day. We enjoyed brunch at our beloved Cafe of Dreams and then ended up hosting an impromptu family gathering. Which, by the way, there's lots to be said for a reasonably maintained home. People can come over any time and you don't have to worry about them tripping over massive clumps of dog hair. Because you know, that would be in very bad form. I'm learning!
Once again, Guy was way too generous and as I told him, I hope [he doesn't] think I expect these fancy gifts because I really don't. He got me a Wii and a bunch of crap to go with it. He said he didn't know a Wii was "fancy." Come on! He knew what I meant. Anyway, I had mentioned how much fun I had playing Wii with my nieces and nephew in Florida the weekend before last and so he went out and got me one. Crazy man. Naturally, the kids love their my gift and really it works to everyone's advantage. I enjoy the game. They enjoy the game. I enjoy them enjoying the game and staying out of my hair. Guy enjoys the nicer, non-annoyed-at-the-kids-and-their-incessant-demands-and/or-bickering me. It's win-win! lol
But I'm not here to regale you with my stories of wanton parental neglect (and to think I'm currently reviewing a book on the lost art of creative play; shame on me!). I'm here to whine about my allergies. Has it been a particularly bad year for them where you live? Because I feel like every other week or so I'm bitching about my allergies. I never set out to be the tissue toting, watery-eyed, itchy-throated, tongue-manipulating-to-scratch-that-back-of-the-throat-itch, index finger in the air signaling another sneeze attack is coming PLEASE-EXCUSE-ME-FOR-A-MINUTE-OR-TWENTY type but that is exactly what I've become here lately and I don't like it one bit. OK, I'm tired of hearing myself type. Whine over.

Sorry to hear the stuffy nose, itchy throat & all - it has been really quite bad for my husband this year - here is beautiful switzerland so u are not alone. Hugz!
And also? If you've reading me at all lately, you would know that I have had a miserable (read: sickly!!) winter and early spring dealing with sore throat, headaches, and post nasal drip! Pollen and weeds suck!!
