Children Learn What They Live

128%20002b.jpg

I found this in the balcony of Anna Sofia's doll house the other day and I couldn't help but smile. I love how she plays with her "dollies." Especially the "Mommies & Daddies." I hear her saying "I love you" and then "I love YOU." Then she makes them kiss. They're a loving bunch, those dolls. :)

So sweet! Just the other day I was thinking about when i was very little - 2 or 3- and whenever i would see my parents hugging or kissing i would run over and demand to be hugged and kissed too! So they'd pick me up and we'd have a family hug. I remember this SO vividly. I'm sure one day Anna Sophia will recall her loving dolls and how in love you and Guy are.

This is very cute.
We get an entirely different response at our house; Gameboy has dubbed it "old people love" and declared it gross.

I like to gross him out as often as possible.

I would agree to that but Glenys my kiddo always plays like something is the daddy. She will build whole families out of, oh I don't know, shampoo bottles. She will have a mommy, daddy, brother, sister, grammie, grandad and baby or little girl. Here is the thing though, I am a single parent of a single child, her. She has grandparents that she sees a lot but that doesn't explain why she puts a daddy in everything.

Cute pic.

Love it!!! Evie walked around the living room the other day saying, "Well hello handsome." I can assure you she hasn't heard me saying that though. :) My little Mae West. Maybe not. :)

So sweet! I read Lara's comment to you about this, my girls all did the same thing! Up until about 2.5-3ish. So Alena still does it. Very cute.

My girls pretend play together and when one is the mom and the other is the baby, they constantly use the word "sweetie". (as in, "where's my sweetie?" - like it's the character's name lol) I didn't realize how often I said that. :)
