Illustration Friday - Disaster Relief

The minute I heard this week's topic, I knew I wanted to share a drawing I did back in 1999. When I saw Jennybee's, I just had to post to let her know that "great minds think alike." She put it best when she said she just couldn't draw "sad." I felt the same way. I would love to draw something sobering and meaningful but I just wouldn't do it justice. Besides, I think Natalie's says it all, doesn't it?

I can't wait to see what everyone else has posted!

I really love Natalie's drawing. The way everything is falling down...the water from the vase, the electric cord, the broken beams...it all reflects the way the tears are falling on their faces. Like the whole house is crying. :(

You and Natalie are so talented. I am seriously amazed by her drawing especially. You should be so proud. I wanted to thank you for my New Years card in the mail. It was a wonderful surprise and I really enjoyed the card and pics!
Thank you and have a great weekend!
